Hello again all!
So today I wanted to share with everyone some of my favorite companies who specialize in beauty and body products that are organic, ethically traded, cruelty-free, and/or all-natural.
This is rather hard to come by these days when all you can find in a grocery store is products made by companies like Procter & Gamble, which is notorious for its animal cruelty and unethical policies. Sometimes it is a matter of practicality to have to pick products like this up (I myself have several P&G products in my bathroom, as they are inexpensive and I’m almost always strapped for cash), but when you can, it’s a great idea to indulge and try out something more eco-friendly and natural — not to mention these products smell lovely and work great!!
The first company I’d like to mention is Bath and Body Works. They’re extremely popular due to their unique and varied scents. Not only do their products smell wonderful, but they are actually never animal tested, which is a big plus for me. I highly recommend the Stress Relief Eucalyptus Tea Body Wash and Foam Bath — the scent is perfect for unwinding and destressing. It really clears the mind! :]
Secondly, I’d like to talk about The Body Shop. Their products are similar in nature to Bath and Body Works, except their fragrances tend to be based on individual scents, such as chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or orange. The products are also cruelty-free and fair trade, and the company is dedicated to protecting both human rights and the planet. I’ve been using their Strawberry Shower Gel almost every day for the past couple weeks and I can definitely say it’s one of my favorite scents ever, so juicy and sweet!
Lush is another company I’d like to talk about, because their products are so unique. While they do sell conventional lotions, body washes, and perfumes, you’ll also find fun things such as bath bombs (which fizz in the bath and change the color of the water while scenting it), shower jellies (jiggly jello-like body washes that smell delicious), and dusting powders (which can be used to soften and scent skin, hair, and even bedsheets and laundry!) On top of all of this, their products are never animal tested, and are fair trade, packaged with recycled materials, and made from fresh, organic materials. Lush also puts a lot of their proceeds into charities, such as one set up to give children in Fukushima, Japan a safe place to play. I’m currently in love with their Creamed Almond and Coconut Shower Smoothie which smells delightful, like vanilla ice cream, and can be used either as a body wash or even as a lotion, and leaves your skin feeling amazing!!
I’m sorry this post got so long, haha. But I hope to have helped some of you find new products to love! :]
and just fyi — I was not in any way compensated for mentioning these companies, I did this purely to share some of my favorite products with my followers. Please enjoy!!
